My husband was invited to the MotoGP in Portugal (for work) and I (invited myself) to visit Portugal/Lisbon. It was my first time to Portugal but I can say with all certainty that it will not be my last time.
I loved it! The people, the food, the landscape, it was just breathtaking.
Lisbon is the home to 'Pasteis de Belem' - OMG these things are sooo yummy. On any given Sunday this shop has been known to sell 70,000 of them, with people lining up out the door to purchase these little yummy pasteis.
Tiles are everywhere in Lisbon. They were originally used to keep the houses cool, reflecting the sun but then they also realised that they look great. Whole building blocks are covered in tiles, there is even a museum dedicated to tiles. And as you can guess I took lots and lots of photos of tiles!
Another thing you see on almost every building is a clothes line and clothes hanging from it. It makes use of space when space is at a premium. I love this particular shot - I think the colours are awesome.
