OK, it feels like I have abandoned my blog .. OK I did abandon my blog but I have a good excuse - a family holiday!
We braved a 14 hour flight to LA, a further 4 hours at the airport and finally jumping on a plane to Portland. By the time my husband collected us from Portland airport (some 22 hours after taking off from Sydney) we couldn't string a sentence together, our body clocks had no idea if it was morning or night, we were hungry but didn't want to eat ... we were a mess!
We spent time in Charleston, South Carolina and Portland, Oregon.
Since being home I have been working through 100's of photos - it's take forever! I decided to post a couple now and just keep posting until I run out of photos. In no particular order, here we go.
Welcome to the States.
We arrived in Charleston about a week before 4th July. I love the fact that you can drive down the road and purchase your fireworks for your family celebration - just don't smoke whilst purchasing your fireworks!!
Within days of arriving in Charleston these words were like gold. Temperatures averaged between 35 and 40 degrees every day - YES everyday!
